User Reviews
I have had this unit for four years now, and it gets used four to five days a week,
depending on the season. I like the variety of programs that come with the bike,
and that you can customize your workouts as well. Only one minor problem experienced
so far ... one of the pedals was coming loose in the stem, but I reseated it, and
torqued it in tight, and no problem since. At delivery, one of the larger plastic
plugs was cut and disfigured, but Schwinn customer service had a replacement to me
within days.
JF, New York -- Great piece of equipment
Broke twice in first year. Schwinn replaced the console for free, but now the electrical system is shot and just past the warrenty. Very disappointed. -- Very Poor Quality
This bike exceeded my expectations. It's nearly silent My only complaints are the fan is a waste of time and effort, After all is said and done, this bike is the best on the market for the price. The plusses are a plenty. The number of preprogrammed routines are adequate. Above all, the comfort of the seat is the best I've experienced in a club or otherwise, the stability is fantastic, and the heart rate monitor is very effective. I would highly recommend this bike to anyone looking for a premium home exercise device. This bike combined with free weights equates to an unparalleled home workout. Enjoy. -- Schwinn 213 Recumbent Exercise
The Schwinn Model 230 is a great value. I've had mine for 5 months and am very pleased. I would like to ride it first thing in the morning before my wife awakens, but the computer makes several audible beeps to prompt you as you select the desired program. I may resort to taking the console apart and installing sound insulation around the beeper. It would be nice if computer had a silent mode. -- Great value, but computer console needs a silent mode.
I've had my bike for almost 2 years now and it works as good as the first day I bought it! It's not as fancy as a bike you would use at a professional gym, but it is great to use at home, fairly easy to put together, and gets the job done. Very happy with it!! -- I love my bike!!
